Iowa Lakes
Community College Election

For the Special Iowa Lakes Election to be held on September 9, 2014 a voting center will be available.  Any registered voter of the Iowa Lakes Community College District residing in the Clay Central/Everly or Spencer School Districts within Clay, Dickinson or O’Brien counties may vote at the following place in this election:

·         Clay County Administration Building Board room, 300 West 4th Street, Spencer, IA




Shall the Board of Directors of Iowa Lakes Community College (Merged Area III) in the counties of Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, and Winnebago, be authorized to annually certify for levy a tax on the taxable property in Merged Area III at a rate of six cents ($0.06) per $1000.00 of assessed valuation for a period of ten (10) consecutive years beginning with the tax levy to be made for collection in the fiscal year July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2025, said tax to be used for program sharing between community colleges, the purchase of instructional equipment, or for any other purpose now or hereafter authorized by law, as provided by subsection 2, section 260C.28. Code of Iowa?
