WHAT IS
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
The Clay County Environmental Health Department protects you and your
environment through enforcement of regulations and standards for minimizing,
controlling or eliminating sources of human disease and environmental pollution.
The programs include:

Permitting and inspection of the construction of on-site sewage
treatment systems and investigations of failed systems |

Permitting and inspection of the construction of private wells |

Well testing, well abandonment & well plugging |

Inspection and complaint review of public swimming pools, tanning
facilities & tattoo establishments |

Complaint investigations on nuisances |

The Vision of the Clay County Environmental Health Department is to have the
lowest risk of environmentally caused illness and injury for the citizens of
Clay County. OUR MISSION
The mission of the Clay County Environmental Health Department is to protect
health, prevent disease, and promote health for all persons in Clay County
through assurances of physical environments that minimize exposure to harmful
pathogens and other environmental toxins. |
