Information Technology: The Clay County
Information Technology department coordinates hardware, software, and
information systems to better improve the services to County employees which in
turn helps to serve the public. In partnership with County departments and other
agencies, the IT director coordinates
County Information Technology projects in an effort to integrate solutions which
best enable departments to accomplish their respective missions.
The Geographic Information System Coordinator:
Maintains
and coordinates the GIS for Clay County.
Works
closely with both the Assessor and the Auditor's offices to maintain Clay
County's cadastral parcel mapping database.
Provides
digital mapping, spatial analysis, map production, data development, database
integration, and general mapping services to the entire County.
The goals of the GIS Department are to provide County employees
and the public with more effective, efficient means for accessing, managing, and
utilizing public geographic information.
